Pictured Flash Cards

You will be receiving 329 multi-colored Economy Size (5.5x3.5) or Large Size (8.5x5.5) pictured phonetic reading sounds on flash cards. The self-taught DVD reading program works best with the flash cards, but the flash cards are NOT required for the DVD pictured reading program.  The same pictures on the DVDs are on the flash cards. The flash cards have 4 additional sections. The flash cards are on 100 lb. cardstock.  A unique picture “has been created” for each individual sound.

Uses for the flash cards:

  1. A “hands-on reading tool” for learning the sounds.
  2. An additional medium of learning for those who have reading problems.
  3. The opportunity to stack together the sounds that need to be learned.
  4. Can be used independently or with the DVDs.

The four additional categories in the flash cards are:

  1. Plurals: How plurals are formed.
  2. Homonyms:  (Homonyms are words that sound the same but have different meanings. Ex: there, their, they’re.)  We have given a definition to 39 homonyms, and created a picture that describes the different words.
  3. Possessions: Where to put the apostrophe when using possessions.
  4. Prefixes: We have given a definition with a picture for the most used prefixes.
